DOUBLE STANDARD

Here we are again!

Toting Bunye is nothing but a person who lacks wisdom but full of arrogance!

The recent survey by Pulse Asia revealed that GMA is NUMBER ONE AS THE MOST CORRUPT PRESIDENT THAT THE PHILIPPINES EVER HAD.

That is beyond reasonable doubt! The brazen bribery, corruption, intimidation of civilians and media people makes GMA guilty of the charges.

The plan of reviving the anti-subersive law is an indication that GMA wants to stay in power by eliminating the witness. Apparently, she is not afraid of "karma". Weather weather lang yan. This reality must also sink into the coconuts of those military and policemen covering and licking the ass of GMA!

Remember what happened to Gen. Rolando Abadilla? According to my late father (former Manila Chronicle man) and my uncle (former military general and CO of one of the offices of AFP), the late Gen. Abadilla during his heyday was abusive. Unmindful of the time that "TATANDA AT LILIPAS DIN SYA". The only tragedy though is the fact that LUMIPAS SYA NOT NATURALLY BUT BY CRUELTY! He was killed by alleged victims of his cruelty and abuses.

This apparently is not realized by those oldies (but not goodies) like Raul Gonzales, Sergio Apostol, Gen. Esperon, and those who surrond GMA.

As sunsetters, be remebered as lovers of the country and not lovers of your ownselves.

You know in your heart that indeed, GMA is the most corrupt president the country ever had. But you're not reacting, simply because you're benefitting from her.

Let's not have a double standard reaction as far as survey is concerned. If it's favorable to you, you brag it, and if not, you say it's invalid. Ano ba talaga mga lolo?

Well, with regard to Senator Brenda, no one would believe her anymore. She has become a laughing stock in teh senate and in the media.

Loose screw is hard to be tightened especially if the screw is fully oxidized already.

Even if you deny the result of the survey --- GMA is the most corrupt president the country ever had, the thing speaks for itself!

The MANILA PEN STAND-OFF

The Great Cicero once said, "Cuiusvis hominis est errare, nullius nisi insipientis in errore perseverare". (Anybody can err, but only the fool persists in his fault.)

The recent stand-off in Manila Pen was a case of a fool insisting in his fault. Perhaps, to the mind of the reader, they might assume that I am referring to Sen. Trillanes. Nope.

Making that assumption is in itself a fallacy "assumptio non probata" (assuming without a proof). The fool in this case is GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO!

Poor GMA, she thinks that she will be forever in power... same goes true to the other fools that surround her. I'm sure the readers know who these people are.

GMA is a fool, because she apparently tries to play "innocent" in the overkill that happened in the Manila Pen done by Esperon. Sorry, I cannot call you a general because you don't earn the title by merits but by mere "SIPSIP" (Severely Insecured Person Seeking for Instant Promotion)!

GMA is a fool for continually ignoring the legit concerns mentioned by Sen. Trillanes and Gen. Lim.

The Manila Pen stand-off was a simple case of "cause and effect". The cause is GMA and her allies, for insulting the intelligence of the Filipino people by denying that corruption does not exist in her administration. Denying it is tantamount to a christian denying the existence of God.

GMA continues to challenge the rule of law simple because she feels and thinks that she is high and mighty.

I remember what my late philosophy professor, Fr. Alois Lehberger said...

"What is the danger of "sophism"? It's making the wrong things right, and the right things wrong".

Now, I know why Cicero came up with that above mentioned quotation. Perhaps, if Cicero were still alive, he would have joined Gen. Lim and Sen. Trillanes in the march and slap on GMA's face the placard containing the quotation about a fool insisting on his fault!

The Philippine Goverment is a Chaste Prostitute

"If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich."
(John F. Kennedy)

St. Ambrose depicts the church as "casta meretrix" meaning a "chaste prostitute". And I believe, that is also can also be said about other institutions like the schools, corporations and of course, the government --- our very own Philippine government is a CHASTE PROSTITUTE!

All institutions' "raison d' etre" are splendid --- always directed for others' well being and not for their own selfish gain or interest. However, reality tells us otherwise! Why? Because as the saying goes, "Power intoxicates men. When a man is intoxicated by alcohol, he can recover, but when intoxicated by power, he seldom recovers."

Therefore, depicting church and other institutions as "casta meretrix" is indeed very apt. and really fair enough. Because the "prostitutes" are the ones who run the institutions.

The "Pinoy Politics" blog, strictly tackles Philippine Politics. Whatever you will read here are my opinions ---- how I see life as it comes thru to me.

I remember what my German professors told me before when I was still studying philosophy. In life there are what we call "Sitzen Leiben" or "situations in life" that sometimes need to be magnified, dessiminated and re-echoed to other people. This is to bring awareness in their being and hoping that someday they would take some actions in their small ways to make a difference in the society.

I love the song "Small Ways" and I'd like to share a part of it that might also inspire you:

"Maybe you and I can't do great things. We may not change the world one day, but we still can change some things today in our small ways..."

Let us continue to share realities in life in the realm of Philippine politics. Only through education that we would be able to help some people about the real "Sitzen Leibin" and help them to be extricated by providing them awareness, guidance and teach them how to deal with life.

As Plato said, "If all people were educated, there would be no slaves."

Thank you for taking time to read this blog, and I hope that you will find this educational and entertaining to read.

GOD bless us!!! GOD bless the Philippines!!!

LINTANG BEDOL should be DEDBOL

This Lintang Bedol is a shameless descendant of Garci and has a very thick face.

He tries to insult the intelligence of Filipinos, much more by other people he believes as stupid as him by fabricating all kinds of lie which even kids would not believe.

The veracity of his statement the some important documents from Maguindanao were stolen from his room is so unthinkable knowing that these are important documents.

Well, well, well... What do you expect from him who knows he enjoys "immunity" from being prosecuted because his powerful bosses, nmely, GMA and Abalos! Do you expect GMA and Abalos will jail him? Maybe they would, but for sure it's going to be all for show!

Bedol is a big embarrassment to the Muslim community. I have a lot of Muslims friends and I know they are very decent and honest. I wonder why is there a "stray Muslim" like Bedol who continues to lie through his teeth and fabricates story.

If GMA and Abalos will not do something drastic that will make Bedol accountable for his brazen antics, it would be better for Bedol to wish himself to be DEDBOL!

Let me end this blog with some meaningful quotations, one from Cicero and the other one from Albert Einsten.

"Cuiusvis hominis est errare, nullius nisi insipientis in errore perseverare".
(Anybody can err, but only the fool persists in his fault.) – Cicero

Obviously, Bedol is making a fool out of himself for insisting on his lies and antics. But he has still a chance to redeem himself if he follows what Einsten said and I quote:

"Character is the final decision to reject whatever is demeaning to oneself or to others and with confidence and honesty choose what is right. And only a brave person is willing to honestly admit, and fearlessly to face, what a sincere and logical mind discovers."

Again, if he chooses to insist in is fault and prefers to demean himself, it would be better for Bedol to be DEDBOL!

Team Unity, SADSAD sa Genuine Opposition. BUTI NGA!!!

"I'll do my dreaming with my eyes wide open, and I'll do my looking back with my eyes closed" (Tony Arata)

Perhaps, this is what happened in the recent election in the Philippines. People are sick and tired of the propaganda done by Arroyo administration, that the economy is good, peso is strong and the stock market is going up.

Apparently, this government does not realize that Filipinos now are more aware with regard to what is going on with the country. There is no amount of "good propaganda" that the government could do to convince the Filipinos that our country is "doing well". The more that this government insists, the more the people resist.

Why, because the government tries to insult the intelligence of the Filipino people. I am selfishly glad that most of the candidates of Team Unity, Team Arroyo (TUTA), did not make it to the senate in spite of the drum beating they did. It's okay to drum beat, but boy, Arroyo administration even had their dirty tricks department but still failed. They were claiming about the "political dynasty" of the Pimentels and Cayetanos. Unmindful of their own "political dysnasty".

I tried writing some of the major dailies in the Philippines to publish my letter to the editor, unfortunately, none of them dared to for very obvious reason ---- peak season for print ads coming from the government.

Anyway, let me share with you what I wrote about the Political Dynasty Ad...

"I am appalled by the political ads aired in the radio against Koko Pimentel and Allan Peter Cayetano knowing who is behind this paid advertisements.

Indeed it is a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

The Bicolanos are in danger of having a congressman who is not born in the Bicol Region and maybe does not even know anything about Bicol and its unique culture.

Thanks but no thanks to Dato Macapagal Arroyo. Is this how greedy Arroyos have become? And what about the Bicolanos legislators? Why would you allow your own province to be led by an outsider like Dato Arroyo.

Allowing him to lead the province is akin to allowing your own family members to be raped in your own house by your visitor. To me, this scenario leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Now, let me ask this question, which is the real political dynasty? What the Arroyos are doing is "divide et impera" (divide and conquer") strategy in preparation for 2010.

And Lastly, why are the feisty Bicolanos like Joker Arroyo, Kit Tatad and Victor Ziga are mum about this? Mga manoy, what is your take on this? Never mind the Andayas, Villafuertes and Alfelors., apparently they have been paid a huge amount of money for giving in to the whims and caprices of the Arroyos. But please, not at the expense of Bicolanos and Bicolanas."

Unfortunately, Dato won in the election.

Please don't get me wrong ---- I'm neither for arm struggler nor for coup d' etat. I am for the truth, that is, through ANV (Active Non Violence), even if at times I feel so frustrated with the government. I do not mind paying taxes, as long as I see that the "meager constribution" I give to the government are shared with our less fortunate kababayans.

There are so much to learn from the recent election, funny and sad... Both would help us deepen our commitment in helping our fellow Filipinos. We cannot expect this government to help, because they're all busy covering their ass in the dung hill that they gladly built for themselves.

Looking back at the political ads of Team Unity, grabe, ang gagalang nila di ba? With matching
po and opo.... Like, "Mike Defensor po...", "Cesar Montano po..." But once elected, grabe pag senate inquiry, kulang na lang murahin ang mga iniimbistigahan nila. Well, that is what you call hypocrisy.

Let me make a confession to you guys, I spent a lot of money campaigning for Mike Defensor, even if I have so much respect for his Dad, "Tito Mat". I texted my friends from Tugegarao to Tawi-tawi not to vote for Mike Defensor. Why would you vote for someone "who's so amusingly arrogant", as Mark Twain puts it. Unless he pays back again those girls in Padi's Cubao. But too late already.

Anyway, let us congratulate ourselves for somehow voting wisely and maturely. After all, we cannot hatch an egg by hammering it. At least, may baby step growth na tayo. This is evident when Fr. Ed Panlilio won over two political bigwigs in Pampanga. Let us continue to show to this government that we have had enough of their antics. In fact, may matinding antique ang government, si Raul O. Gonzales ang secretary of (in)justice.

Apart from Supreme Court, it is good to have dominant opposition in the senate to strike a balance between the upper and lower chamber.

Lastly, despite of the election violence that took place, I am really happy that we voted wisely. I'm so happy that oppositions won despite of lack of funds, machinery and other needed resources.

Ang Team Unity, SADSAD sa Genuine Opposition. BUTI NGA.
